[Sonic Mega 8K S] Replacing the Touch Panel

When the touch panel of your printer becomes malfunctional or broken, a replacement will be necessary. In this article, we’ll guide you through the steps of replacing the Touch Panel on the Phrozen Sonic Mega 8K S.

1. Removing the Old Touch Panel

Power down and prepare

• Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord 
• Loosen the 12 screws to remove the front case

Be careful when sliding off the cover to avoid damaging any cables.

Remove the old touch panel

• Unplug the touch panel cable from the mainboard and the touch panel

• Loosen the four screws to remove the touch panel from the front case

2. Install the New Touch Panel

Install the new touch panel

• Place the new touch panel in the frame
• Tighten the four screws to secure the touch panel on the printer case 
• Reconnect both ends of the touch panel cable to the touch panel and the mainboard
• Tighten the 12 screws to reinstall the front case 

Verify the new touch panel’s functionality

• Plug in the power cord and turn on the printer
• Check if the new touch panel works normally
