Cleaning the resin vat is a simple but crucial task which helps to maintain and extend the lifespan of resin vat, improve printing quality, and protect the release film from unnecessary damages. Please refer to the rest of this article for detailed instructions on how to clean the resin vat.
Before cleaning the resin vat, or the resin vat, make sure to wear gloves.
Running Vat Cleaning function
- Turn on the printer
- Click TOOL → VAT CLEANING
- Set the timer to 15 seconds → click START
- A beep sound indicates the cleaning process has finished
Removing the cured resin layer
- Fold a piece of paper in half, and place it in the corner of the vat
- Dip half of the paper length inside the resin vat while holding another half
- Gently lift the folded paper, and the cured resin shall come off along with it
Cleaning the resin vat
- Pour the excess resin from the VAT into an opaque bottle to avoid any sort of curing
- Use a clean cloth/paper towel to wipe the VAT after resin has been poured into the bottle
Clean the resin vat thoroughly as cured resin left inside may cause printing failure and damages to the LCD.
- Spray some alcohol on the release film and wipe it clean with a clean microfiber cloth or paper towels
Do not soak your metal resin vat in liquid for an extended period of time since it can cause the paint on the resin vat to peel and the screws to rust.
- Reinstall the resin vat once it has become completely dry
