Removing the Old Z-axis
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cable
- Remove the UV cover, building plate, and resin vat
- Unscrew and remove the plastic plate located on top
- Loosen the 8 screws on the T-plate
- Turn the lead screw counterclockwise to take the T-plate out
- Secure the sliding guide with tape to prevent it from moving during the replacement process
- Carefully lay the printer down on a flat surface
- Loosen the 4 screws on the bottom case, and then open the case
- Gently unplug the LED connector and remove the bottom case
- Loosen the 2 screws on the platform that is attached to the motor
- Take the Z-axis out of the printer
- Loosen the 2 screws that secure the shock absorber
Installing the New Z-axis
- Tighten the new shock absorber and secure the motor in place
- Put the Z-axis in position inside the printer
- Tighten the 2 screws on the platform that is attached to the motor
- If you need to replace the slide rail, loosen the 5 screws located on the rail
- Attach the LED connector to the mainboard and then reinstall the bottom case securely
- Remove the tape
- Put the T-plate and turn the new lead screw clockwise to secure it in place
- Install the plastic plate located on top
- Install the building plate, resin vat, UV cover
- Done
