Setting a regular maintenance routine can help your resin 3D printers to remain in a good condition and produce great printing results. In this article, we will provide an overview of the maintenance steps required after each printing session in order to keep your 3D printer in tip-top shape.
1. Cleaning the Building Plate
- Remove the 3D models from the building plate
- Wipe the building plate with a kitchen paper towel to remove resin residue
- Spray some 95% sanitizing alcohol on the building plate
- Use a clean kitchen paper towel to dry the surface
- Fasten the building plate back onto the 3D printer
2. Cleaning the Resin Vat
- Filter out excess resin by using the funnel provided in the toolbox
- Use a clean paper towel to remove the remaining resin in the vat
- Spray some 95% sanitizing alcohol onto the release film
- Clean the leftover resin with a kitchen paper towel

3. Cleaning the LCD Screen
- Check to see if there is any cured resin on the LCD
- Use a blower to remove dust and lint from the LCD
- Apply a small amount of 95% sanitizing alcohol on the LCD and wipe in one direction
4. Cleaning the Interiors
- Inspect to see if there are any resin leaks or spills
- Spray 95% sanitizing alcohol and use a paper towel or microfiber cloth to clean up the interior of the 3D printer
