Washing 3D prints

After your 3D prints have been removed from the building plate, they must be cleaned, washed, and post-processed thoroughly. The following guide includes two washing methods: the dunk and wash method and the wash machine method for your reference.


1. The Dunk and Wash Method

Preparing the cleaning solution

  • Fill two basins with Phrozen Wash or 95% alcohol (IPA).

Cleaning the 3D model

  • Rinse your 3D model in each basin, ensuring a thorough rinse for approximately 1 minute. 
  • Utilize a soft brush if needed, avoiding toothbrushes to prevent scratches on the 3D print.

Drying the 3D model

  • Place the rinsed 3D model in a shaded area for drying. 
  • Allow it to air-dry for 30-60 minutes, or use a compressed air gun for a faster drying process.

Post-curing process

  • After ensuring the 3D model is completely dry, proceed to the post-curing process.
Avoid prolonged immersion of models in sanitizing alcohol to prevent breakage.



2. The Wash Machine Method

By using the wash station, which is one of the most efficient ways for cleaning 3D prints. In the following guide, we will demonstrate the process of using the wash stations, which are currently available in our official store.

Preparing the cleaning solution

  • Fill one basin and the washing station with Phrozen Wash or 95% alcohol (IPA).
Exercise caution as cleaning liquids may become flammable and evaporate quickly. Avoid using the heating function. Operate the device within sight.

 

Cleaning your 3D model

  • Rinse your 3D model in the basin for approximately 1 minute in several rounds to eliminate any remaining uncured resin.

Operating the washing machine

  • Turn on the switch of the wash station.
  • Adjust the timer, indicating the duration of machine activity. Set the timer for at least 30 seconds but below 3 minutes.
