Cutter Position Calibration Guide

During regular single-color printing, the cutter is rarely used. However, in multi-color printing, it plays a crucial role.

Role of the Cutter

• During filament retraction, the cutter trims the old filament and retracts it to prepare for the next filament.
• If the cutter malfunctions, this process cannot be completed, and the machine will repeatedly show the error: 
  “Multi-color machine filament retraction timeout.”

How to Fix This Issue

To resolve this, use the machine’s “Cutter Position Calibration” feature. Follow these steps:

Calibration Steps

1. Open Settings, then click Calibration to enter the function page. 
   
2. Tap the upper-left corner five times to enter Developer Mode. 
   
3. Select Cutter Position Calibration and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
