During the printing process, you may need to remove or replace the nozzle due to clogs, wear, or maintenance needs. To ensure safety and simplify the replacement process, please follow the steps below.
Tools Required
- Needle-nose pliers
- 1.5NM Torque Wrench
Replace Nozzle Step
- Move the Extruder to a Convenient Position
Use the manual adjustment function in the tools menu to move the extruder to a position that is convenient for operation. - Set Extruder Temperature to 250°C
Select the extruder and set the temperature to 250°C. - Extrude Filament 2–3 Times
Once the temperature reaches 250°C, press the extrude button 2–3 times. - Retract Remaining Filament
Then press the retract button to pull back any remaining filament inside the extruder. - Power Off and Remove Magnetic Front Cover
Turn off the power and gently remove the magnetic front cover of the printer to expose the nozzle area. - Disconnect Ribbon Cable
Carefully unplug the ribbon cable connected to the magnetic front cover. Avoid pulling or damaging the connector. - Remove Silicone Sleeve
Use needle-nose pliers to remove the silicone protective sleeve covering the nozzle. - Power On and Reheat Nozzle to 250°C
Turn the machine back on and set the nozzle temperature to 250°C again. - Clean Residual Material
Clean any accumulated printing residue around the nozzle to ensure smooth disassembly. - Remove the Nozzle
Use a torque wrench to rotate the nozzle clockwise to remove it. (Caution: High temperature) - Install New Nozzle
Use a torque wrench to rotate the new nozzle counterclockwise to install it. (Caution: High temperature) - Power Off and Let Nozzle Cool Down
Turn off the power and wait for the nozzle to cool down. - Reinstall Silicone Sleeve
Put the silicone sleeve back onto the hotend. - Reconnect Ribbon Cable and Magnetic Front Cover
Reconnect the ribbon cable and reattach the magnetic front cover. - Replacement Complete!
