When a UV Light of your Cure Mega S is broken, replacing it is crucial to restore full functionality. In this article, we’ll walk you through a detailed, step-by-step guide on how to replace the LED light, ensuring that your device operates smoothly and efficiently once again.
1. Removing the Old UV Light
Power down and prepare
- Turn off the curing station and unplug the power cord.
- Remove the turntable.
- Lay the curing station on its back.
- Use an Allen Wrench 2.5mm to loosen the 10 screws and open the bottom case.
Remove the old UV light array on top
- Unplug the cables connecting to the Top LED array and the mainboard.
- Loosen the 6 nuts holding the LED array and remove it.
Remove the old LED array on the 2 sides
- Unplug the cables connecting to the side LED array (left/right) and the mainboard.
- Loosen the nuts holding the broken LED array and remove it.
Remove the old LED array at the bottom
- Unplug the wires and cable connecting to the bottom LED array and the mainboard.
- Loosen the nuts holding the bottom LED array and remove it.
2. Installing the New LED
Installing the new LED array
- Place the new LED array in its designated position.
- Tighten the nuts to secure the new LED array.
- Reseating the cables connecting to the new LED array and the mainboard.
- Tighten the 10 screws to install the bottom case.
Verifying the new LED array’s functionality
- Plug in the power cord and turn on the curing station.
- Install the turntable.
- Check if the new LED array works normally.
