Removing the Old Z-axis
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cable
- Remove the cover lid, building plate, and resin vat
- Carefully lay the printer down on a flat surface
- Loosen the 4 screws on the bottom case, and then open the case
- Unplug the LED connector and fan connector and put the bottom case aside
- To disconnect the LCD ribbon cable, open the cable clip and detach it (see the picture ① ② below)
- Unplug the motor connector
- Loosen the 2 screws on the platform that is attached to the motor
- Turn the Z-axis counterclockwise until it becomes loose while holding the T-plate with the other hand
- Take the Z-axis out of the printer
Installing the New Z-axis
- Put the new Z-axis in position inside the printer
- Turn the new Z-axis clockwise to screw in the bearing sleeve
- Tighten the 2 screws on the platform that is attached to the motor
- Attach the motor connector and LCD ribbon cable
- Attach the LED connector and fan connector to the mainboard
- Install the bottom case
- Turn the printer upright
