The LED is an essential component of Transform, as it provides the UV light to cure the resin and create your 3D models. However, the LED may experience wear and tear over time and eventually become burnt out.
Replacing the LED is therefore necessary to ensure that the printer is functioning optimally and producing high-quality prints consistently. In this article, we'll guide you through the process of replacing the LED in your Transform.

Removing the Old LED array
- Turn off the printer and open the cover lid, then remove the building plate and resin vat
- Loosen the 8 screws on the front case, and then open it
- Disconnect the touch panel cable and fan cable to remove the rear case
- Remove the rear case by loosening the 10 screws and then put it aside
- Disconnect the sensor connector and motor connector
- Unplug the HDMI cable and micro USB cable on the LCD driver board
- Loosen the 8 screws on the printer's platform and remove the top half of the printer
- Lay down the top half and set it aside
- Unscrew and remove the LED lens and LED frame
- Unscrew the LED array
- Loosen the screws of the terminal and remove the red & black wires of the LED board
- Take the LED array out
Installing the New LED array
- Place a new LED array onto the metal plate
- Connect the red & black wires to their original position on the terminal and secure them
- Secure the new LED array, LED frame, and LED lens
- Put the top half of the printer in place and secure it
- Connect the HDMI cable and micro USB cable
- Connect the sensor cable and motor cable
- Install the rear case in place
- Connect the touch panel cable and fan cable
- Install the front case
- Run LCD test to ensure that the LED is functioning properly
- Done
