The Auto-Feeder board serves as a crucial component within the Sonic Mega 8K S Pump & Fill Unit, dictating when the Printer should initiate the Pump and Fill process into the Resin VAT. However, occasional disruptions in its functionality can occur due to various factors such as temperature fluctuations and resin characteristics.

To ensure optimal performance under diverse conditions, replacing the Auto-Feeder board becomes necessary. This replacement will broaden the trigger range, enabling the Pump & Fill unit to operate seamlessly across a spectrum of conditions.

In this article, we'll walk you through the step-by-step process of replacing the Auto Feeder Board for your Sonic Mega 8K S, ensuring continued efficiency and reliability.

We strongly advise using Phrozen resin with the Pump & Fill Resin Auto Feeder. Kindly be aware that any damage resulting from the use of third-party resin is not covered under warranty.

1. How to Identify?

Marked Sticker

If you find a circular sticker on the back of the printer (besides the serial number), it indicates that the printer is already equipped with the new Auto-Feeder board.

2. Replacing the New Auto-Feeder Board

Power Down and Prepare

• Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord
• Remove the rear case by loosening the 10 screws (see below pic)
• Slide off and remove the rear case with doors and put it aside
  
  

Removing the Old Auto-Feeder Board

• Disconnect the connections from the Auto-Feeder board.
  
• Loosen the 4 screws around the Auto-Feeder Board to remove it from the Sonic Mega 8K S.

Installing the New Auto-Feeder Board

• Place the new Auto-Feeder board into the Mega 8K S.
• Screw in the 4 screws to secure the new Auto-Feeder board.
• Connect all the cables according to the picture below.
  
  

Reassemble the Rear Case and Verify the Pump & Fill Unit’s Functionality

• Tighten the screws and reinstall the rear case
